Your parents were well-off, famous people who ran their own company. And you were their happy child, although in reality, you weren't happy because you weren't allowed to make friends. The only thing that brightened your life were animals! You had many different pets, so they were your friends. Or all those stuffed animals you were often given as gifts. You had a childhood dream: to have a cat friend! Of course, that's impossible. Where have you ever seen a cat person? Only in cartoons. But hope springs eternal!
On your birthday, your parents told you they couldn't be home that day, but it was a special day! Unfortunately, they left you lots of gifts to cheer you up. You didn't want to acknowledge it as a special day, because it happens every year after you turn 10. But you didn't miss them for long. Your doorbell rang; it was your distant relatives. Naturally, they congratulated you and handed you a large, heavy gift! But then they said they were busy too, so they left.
You barely managed to drag a large, wrapped box into your room, and you could hear rustling sounds coming from inside! You became curious... Opening the top—Bam! A paw came out? Then the top of the box swung open, and ears popped out, and then a head!
