Korvo Opposites is the main protagonist of Solar Opposites.

He is the smartest and most rational character in the main cast, but does not do well in social settings.

Korvo originates from the planet Shlorp, and is a member of the Shlorpian species. Shlorp for the most part was a utopia. However, ever since his planet was destroyed by an asteroid, he, his husband Terry, and their replicants/children Yumyulack and Jesse have evacuated to Planet Earth in hopes that they could settle and make a decent living. They are - for the most part - ill-adjusted to Earth's customs, and Korvo and his family try to overcome the challenge of being immigrants to a relatively unknown planet. Because of their inexperience, the Shlorpian family gets themselves in wacky situations.

Korvo is a very introverted pessimistic and closed-minded individual, they are very optimistic about fixing the ship so the team, Korvo, Terry, Yumyulack, and Jesse can get off of earth to another planet to persue their mission. He hates Earth and even makes a point to mention that in the opening sequence. He is insistent on not assimilating, preferring to stay in the house and fix the ship as soon as possible so they can leave. He finds most if not all of earth's inhabitants and customs stupid. Like Yumyulack, Korvo is cold, cunning and serious. Compared to Terry, Korvo is hard working, and studious gaining him the label as “the smart one”. He also prioritizes the mission above all else and constantly wishes that Terry and their family would spend their time focusing on it. He has been the only one working on repairing the ship but to no avail. Despite his dislike of Earth, he begrudgingly tries to learn from the others and adapt to Terry's insistence, sometimes changing his mind and occasionally even having fun.

Even from the get-go in the first season, it is hinted that Korvo harbors romantic feelings for Terry as at one point he tried to kiss him while under the influence of the dumb ray. He also grew very upset when at one point he had dinner parties banned because he felt that Terry was neglecting him as Terry was constantly going to such parties and leaving Korvo due to how Korvo disliked socializing with others. Upon this revelation, Korvo and Terry decide to share a kiss as an act of reconciliation. The creators of the show confirmed that Korvo and Terry became a couple at some point between the first two seasons. From the point of their relationship being officially confirmed onward, they become notably more affectionate toward one another as a couple. In the episode "Edamame Duffle Bag", Terry refers to Korvo as "babe" when the house is being shaken. Later in the same episode, he claims that (one is) "not what you do, but who you love - and that's me", referring to himself in relation to Korvo's new model train hobby.

In the episode "The Pupa's Big Day", Terry refers to his friend Linus as his "line husband" (in reference to his hobby of standing in line), which prompts multiple jealous responses from Korvo, the most notable being when he refers to himself as Terry's "actual husband slash.. unmarried team leader". There are multiple other instances in the episode of Korvo's jealousy being apparent as he constantly tries to compete with Linus for Terry's affection. By the end of the episode, Terry tells Linus to "eat shit and die" as he already has "all the husband he needs" right there with him, referring to Korvo.

Despite not being from Earth, the two take on the role of parents to both the replicants and the Pupa, relying on each other in multiple different instances to be there to care for them, discipline them, etcetera. They work well as a team together and this has been acknowledged in multiple episodes. They are often shown giving each other affectionate glances, touching each others' arms, clinging to one another in fear or discomfort, unintentionally matching each other's poses, and, in Terry's case, jumping into Korvo's arms. Just like any other couple, they are shown to kiss, cuddle, share a bed and also engage sexually.

As Korvo's replicant, Yumyulack shares many of Korvo's more pessimistic traits. Of the family members, Korvo and Yumyulack are the two who seem to dislike Earth the most. That being said, Yumyulack, likely thanks to Jesse's influence, is much more open to trying Earth activities, food, etc than Korvo is.

Korvo does not seem to like Jesse. In the episode “The Super Gooblers”, he is cruel and mean to her and even outright states that she sucks. His behavior caused her to have repressed anger towards him, and even after expressing her frustrations with him, he does not appear to have a change of heart. Nonetheless, he still treats her as part of the family and they get along fairly nicely most times. At the end of “The Solar Opposites Almost Get An Xbox”, they sit together and hug as they wait for a death clock to run down.

In an interview with an editor from the online magazine Inverse, series creators Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan confirmed that Korvo and Terry officially became a romantic couple over the course of the first two seasons. [1]
As of the episode "An Earth Shatteringly Romantic Solar Valentine's Day Opposite Special", Terry and Korvo are officially married.
Korvo is presumed to be bi/pansexual as he has shown attraction towards both men and women.
He's absolutely terrified of anything Halloween related.

He is the only one who eats the Shlorpian delicacy, Num Nums, as the rest of his family (sans the Pupa) does not like them. Korvo himself even admits they taste terrible.

Shlorpians can taste the ground with their feet.
Adult shlorpians have a "shmelkhole", a flower like growth that comes from their stomach. Some are beautiful and smell good, like Korvo's, but others are gross and smell bad, like Terry's.
Shlorpians can come in a variety of colors and different shades of such color. This includes purple, pink, red, blue, green, orange.
Green is the most common.
Replicants can be different shades or colors than the parent Shlorpian.
When a Shlorpian reaches full maturity, they turn into a wise old tree and if lucky enough, someone will use their wood to build a house.
They don't go through puberty.
Shlorpians reproduce by taking a clipping of their toe or finger and place it in a pot of soil which eventually grows into a replicant.
Sometimes, if the clippings have trouble growing, as Jesse and Yumyulack did, the parent Shlorpians could put two replicants together to help them grow.
While growing, they first start off as a flower. When they blossom, they're head first.
The replicants, especially if they are like siblings or co-replicants, can exchange information by interlocking elbows which exposes magenta nutrient roots. This is caused by the trust between them; if this trust is irreversibly broken, then they can't do this anymore.
The Pupa must feed on one replicant, a.k.a the nutrient replicant, every 90 days

If Shlorpians don't wash their hands enough, they grow a flower-like fungus on their heads.
The flowers release a pollen which, when inhaled by another being, compels that being to like the Shlorpian.
Shlorpians themselves appear to be immune to the pollen, even if it is from another Shlorpian.
If pollen from two or more different Shlorpians mixes, non-Shlorpians who inhale the resulting combination enter a homicidal rage.
While they have lifemates, the Shlorpian equivalent to a spouse, it was originally believed that Shlorpians couldn't feel romantic love but only "teammate affinity." Korvo and Terry realize they have fallen in love with each other.
If Shlorpians spend too much time on Earth, they adapt and appear human. This can be reversed if they leave the planet, and it only happens once.
They have a zeriod which their zycle can zynch up with others and cause messed up skin.
Shlorpians, every time their planet is hit by a meteor/astroid, they send one hundred teams to inhabit new worlds. As Aisha says in season 3, episode 6, 99 Ships, there have been thousands of planet Shlorps

Shlorpians are functionally immortal, as even the destruction of the head will just result in them grown a new body with all memories restored from the moment of "death." This is an extreme example of genetic memory, similar to that of Lepidoptera which retain memories possessed prior to metamorphosis. The only known exception to this was the destruction of planet Shlorp, presumably because planetary destruction eliminates whatever biomass is necessary for regeneration. One replicant from each mission is chosen as the “nutrient replicant”, a Shlorpian with the special role of being sacrificed to the pupa so it can evolve and terraform. This replicant’s memories are saved so they can be implanted back into the replicant’s clone. Without this Shlorpian, the pupa will become malnourished and die. This can be substituted with chalupas.

Due to their plant-based physiology and complete lack of genitals, the Shlorpians are universally sexless and therefore choose the gender they wish to identify. However, Shlorpians do have a "mound" which has been evidently treated as their genitalia. The "mound" is to be cleaned regularly to remove gunk with a gunk wand, which the process tickles, or else it will attract giant spiders.

When a Shlorpian becomes stressed, they produce tiny, mindless, purple creatures known as Gooblers from their heads. They can also be produced via diarrhea as shown at the end of Terry and Korvo Get in a Big Screaming Fight in the Taco Bell Parking Lot. Every 100,000th Goobler produced by a Shlorpian is a Red Goobler, a larger, more aggressive variant with the sole purpose of causing as much stress to their Shlorpian as possible. Super gooblers, like red ones, will try to kill the Shlorpian. Unlike red ones, they can represent any emotion and it takes time before they give into their homicidal urges. They do this for the sake of the mission to terraform a planet to create a new Shlorp by eliminating them so the team can continue. The rest of the team will then eat the corpse for nutrients.

White gooblers represent a Shlorpian's repressed rage and will continue to grow the angrier the Shlorpian is. To destroy them, the Shlorpian must express their anger until they explode.

Green gooblers represent a Shlorpian's envy.
Orange gooblers represent a Shlorpian's kleptomania.
Lavender gooblers represent a Shlorpian's lust.
Magenta gooblers represent a Shlorpian's binge watching of Full House. It will act like Kimmy Gribbler.
Blue gooblers represent a Shlorpian's Criterian Disk.
Pink Gooblers represent a Shlorpian's love of saying "Baby".

The Shlorpians seem to have a religion based on an entity called the Grey God. Shlorpians are expected to pray around obsidian crystals every hour, presumably to said god. Thus, these crystals are considered sacred. Shlorpians also have a holy number, though its exact significance is unknown.
