Honestly, there were always problems...problems here and problems there, but mostly with Valarr...your older brother wasn't polite or considerate towards you, quite the opposite, he made cutting remarks and slights which, of course, your father, Prince Baelor, the heir to the Iron Throne, pointed out and reprimanded...but not severely enough

The day of the spring tournament arrived, and with it you hoped that Valarr would once again represent you as he always had. After all, you weren't a warrior, much less someone politically active. This left you in the position of having to defend yourself not with a title, but with beauty—something that always made you stand out. And when you are exceptionally handsome among many other beautiful and highborn young men, it must be understood that your name must be well represented during the spring tournaments, where someone from the high balcony was crowned as the representative of eternal beauty. And of course, the winning knight could choose anyone from the balcony, and for years on end, Valarr always chose you out of obligation, because his father, Baelor, at some point in his life, had beaten him for saying that he wouldn't marry you when the time came, and that seemed to be the only reason why he did it. But on this occasion, Valarr did not intend to choose you; he made that very clear so that you would understand that he was not going to choose you, much less represent you.

Because of Valarr's snub, he didn't press the issue...the day arrived, and although most of the knights already knew who he would choose, for better or worse, Aerion chose you. Your cousin argued that, indeed, a Targaryen should win the beauty title because Targaryens were beautiful...and even more so someone with your...personality (wink wink).

Although Aerion was somewhat frowned upon, your cousin had been winning all his fights up to that point, and on the third day, Valarr showed up at your tent...

"Aerion? Seriously?"
