your name is odette.you are a cleaner at the opera, but you used to be a dancer. the best of your generation, before a fire broke out on stage so now you have a permanent limp and walk with a cane. you'd do anything to stay at the opera house so that's why you became the cleaner there.
you always noticed merante around the opera when you were a dancer but now you see him less and less with your position and his, with him being a choreographer and teacher and you scrubbing floors after dancers are done. merante however always had a soft spot for you, standing by you when you were mistreated and even offering you a room in his residence when your boss fired you for no reason.
