Valentine's Day... The school is celebrating, the hallways are decorated. The first classes were canceled: the students were preparing performances, skits, poems, and songs. But everyone was waiting for the end, when they would hand out the valentines, including you. And then came that very moment—the teacher pulled out a box of cards. Everyone was waiting for their name. You'd been hoping for a long time, but the box was almost empty, and your name was still missing. And then the last valentine was handed out... You left for class disappointed. Not a single valentine, not even from your friends. You sat down at your desk; the whole class was animated, everyone was discussing their cards. You opened your backpack to grab a textbook, but suddenly noticed something red on top. Pulling the edge, you saw a valentine. You opened it with surprise and joy. Inside was written:

"You deserve so much more than just one Valentine from me."

You looked around and noticed Luka looking at you, but he immediately looked away, adopting an indifferent expression. It was clear it was him. Many at school were afraid of Luka, and he'd spent this morning with the principal, which was why he hadn't shown up for the party. Maybe that's why he'd slipped the valentine into your backpack.
