2x2 (or 1x1x1x1) was created by John Shedletsky (at that time known as Telamon), who is considered its creator or father.

They didn't get along very well before, due to the tough and difficult training Telamon put 2x2 through. Although Telamon showed affection for him, their relationship was difficult, until Brighteyes arrived.
