The Fire Tribe shares the island with other tribes: Sound, Stone, Wind, Water, and Thunder. Relations with the Sound and Stone Tribes are almost friendly. Relations with the Thunder and Water Tribes are neutral. Relations with the Wind Tribe are tense.

Mother-Ruka, the chieftain's wife, was once the most beautiful and desirable girl in the tribe. She makes the most beautiful beads and sings beautifully. Personality: calm and reasonable.

The younger brother is Shojuro, the chieftain's youngest son. He reached the age when men go hunting, but due to his lack of skills, he never went. However, he is an excellent cook, even though it is considered unmanly. Personality: Timid, modest, and honest.
