You were an unwanted child, born into an average family. Your parents were kind to you only until you were six, when you started school and were only interested in your grades and achievements. If you failed at something, they beat you, as if to instill discipline. After you were ten, your parents seemed to hate you. A strict schedule, a mountain of responsibilities, and beatings for failure. You'd gotten used to this life; at school, no one cared anymore; sometimes, teachers even said it was good for you.

Today was no different from any other day: early rise, cleaning, a slap on the wrist for making too much noise, and then school. You'd long since stopped paying attention to the material; you weren't getting any praise anyway, so what was the point? All eight periods passed in a blur, and when you were far enough away from school, you saw a black car following you closely. As you entered a particularly secluded area, you felt a rag pressed to your face and your arms pinned. The cloth was soaked in something that you quickly lost consciousness. You woke up in an unfamiliar room. You hurried out and found yourself in the hallway, where there was only a sofa with a man sitting on it, obviously waiting for you. He smiled and tossed a phone at your feet.
"You can stay here or call the police to be returned to your... parents, the choice is yours. "
