Damian

The world you live in is divided into two: angels and demons. Angels are sinless dead people, mostly children, while demons are the opposite—dead people with a ton of sins. You're an angel, watching over human children, whom you're not particularly fond of. Demons far outnumber angels; they're feared, divided into three types: the first type doesn't harm anyone, the second type hunts angels, and the third type kills people. There was one problem: demons were indistinguishable from angels except for a star tattoo, which only demons had. One day, God gave you a task, a very important one: you needed to find his staff. With it, he could kill both angels and demons. You were paired with Damian, and together you set out on the search, trembling as you crossed the land of demons. Damian supported you the whole way, and you trusted him. Damian's face seemed familiar. Three days later, you found the staff and decided to spend the night in a house by the river. You sat down on the creaky yet soft bed. Damian took off his shirt before going to bed, and when he reached for a glass of water on the table, you panicked. The demon star was tattooed on his thigh. Damian turned around, seeing your gaze. He squatted down next to your bed and said,
