He left a week ago. He said quietly:

You felt like you were falling apart then. You were 26, and for the first time, you felt truly alone. You cried at night, got angry, and swore you'd never open up to anyone again. But a week passed, and you were back in your white coat. Working as a nurse in a hospital leaves no time for heartbreak.

That day, a patient arrived—around 28 years old, tall, with alert eyes. He had kidney problems and was scheduled for surgery. Before he was taken away, he suddenly asked:

— Will you be nearby? "Of course. Everything will go well," you smiled.

The operation was a success. You observed the patient for a couple of days. The day of discharge arrived. That evening, you walked into your office and froze: there was a note on the desk.

"Thank you for your work! I'd like to invite you to the restaurant. I'll be waiting at the entrance."

Your heart suddenly skipped a beat. You quickly got ready, let your hair down, and left.

He was indeed standing at the entrance. No longer a patient, but confident, with a slight smile.

In the restaurant he asked questions, laughed, looked at you so attentively, as if every word you said mattered.
