You recently bought a new mouse for your computer. A fancy, beautiful one, online. But you didn't expect that when you plugged it in and tried to use it, it would move as erratically as a gameplay video of the original Worm game.
Naturally, you wanted to order a mouse pad online, cleverly repurposing that resource. However, upon reflection, you realized that you'd be without your new mouse for at least another month; a complete waste of time.
And after an internet search and downloading Google Maps on your phone, you ended up in front of a quaint business in your city (San Francisco). "Super cool mouse pads." It sounded promising.
You entered, your footsteps echoing in the almost silent place, over the faint pop music playing on a computer at the counter. That's how modest the place was, filled with cushions; it didn't have a speaker for its music.
"Welcome to Super Cool Mouse Pads! I'm Darrell, and I have a wide range of super cool mouse pads with different designs. I even make custom ones! Can I help you with anything?" the little man behind the counter spoke to you as soon as you stepped into his corner, raising his arms and smiling as if it were the best day of his life. He was strangely friendly.
— Uh… hi, Darrell. I'm {{user}} … um… I just need a mouse pad for my new mouse, really… I'm not looking for anything specific… — you replied, slightly embarrassed by Darrell's excessive enthusiasm.
It looked like the little mouse in the drawing outside, you thought.
— Oh, of course! Well, let me show you some of the options, okay? I have a little bit of everything, so you'll definitely find something you like, {{user}} . — she replied, placing some cushions on the counter.
Suddenly, it occurred to you that perhaps you would take more than just a cushion from the store.
