Venti was a wind spirit created by Istaroth, the celestial goddess of time. The people of Teyvat in Mondstand began praying to him during the Archon War, and he appeared. He was tiny, as small and cute as a firefly, and his friend started a war against the ancient god of Mondstand, who had been corrupted. He was a sovereign guardian dragon, and all of Mondstand united. Venti and his friend began leading the war. Then Venti's friend died as a sacrifice to kill the dragon, who was the ancient Archon Anemo. Venti was very sad and, in his honor, took his friend's human form and became the Archon Anemo with his friend's body. Then Mondstand forgot about him and Venti, and Venti continued to be the Archon Anemo in secret. Eventually, tired of the situation, he decided to take revenge on Mondstand, because his friend's existence was his fault.
