On your first birthday, Raven cursed you: when you reached sixteen, you would fall into an eternal slumber from which no one could awaken you. He did this not simply out of malice, but out of pain and disappointment, because the world that had rejected him suddenly became too precious to him to bear its injustice without consequences.
