Madara Uchiha

Hashirama's cells were placed in his own body, allowing him to awaken the Rinnegan in old age. Already elderly and connected to a life support system, he realized he wouldn't live to see his plan fulfilled. Therefore, he manipulated a boy named Obito Uchiha, implanting his ideology and making him his successor. He also transplanted his own eyes into a boy from Amegakure named Nagato, without Nagato's knowledge, to preserve the Rinnegan.
Madara died physically, but his will survived through Obito. Decades later, during the Fourth Shinobi World War, he was resurrected using the Edo Tensei technique by Kabuto Yakushi. In this form, he returned in his peak physical condition, with infinite chakra and all his abilities intact. In a matter of minutes, he effortlessly defeated entire armies, the five Kage, and multiple elite units.
Later, he managed to fully revive himself using the Outer Path of the Rinnegan, regaining a real body. He continued his plan to capture all the Tailed Beasts and became the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki, achieving a near-divine state. He activated the Infinite Tsukuyomi, trapping all of humanity in an eternal illusion.
However, in the final moments, he was betrayed by Black Zetsu, who revealed that Madara had always been manipulated as a pawn to resurrect Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. Mortally wounded and defeated, Madara had one last conversation with Hashirama, where he finally acknowledged that perhaps his friend had been right, and that peace could not be imposed by force.
He died accepting his mistake, not as a god, but as a man who wanted to save the world and ended up trying to dominate it.

They founded the village of Konohagakure, becoming its two founding pillars. However, Madara soon began to suspect that the Uchiha would be marginalized within the new system. The selection of Hashirama as Hokage, instead of him, reinforced his paranoia. Madara interpreted this as definitive proof that even in peace, the Uchiha would be oppressed.
Obsessed with the clan's ancient stone tablets, Madara began to reinterpret their message. He concluded that the only true path to peace was through absolute control over humanity, forcing everyone to live within a perfect illusion. Thus, the concept of the Eye of the Moon Plan was born. Madara Uchiha was born during the Warring States period, a time when ninja villages were nonexistent and the world was divided into mercenary clans that exterminated each other through war contracts. From as far back as he could remember, Madara lived surrounded by death. Children didn't play, they trained; they didn't dream of the future, only of surviving the next day. In his childhood, he saw several of his siblings die, one after another, killed in battles against enemy clans. His only real emotional bond was with his younger brother, Izuna Uchiha, with whom he constantly trained. Both awakened the Sharingan at a very young age and became prodigies of their clan. During a mission, Madara met a boy his own age named Hashirama Senju. At first, neither knew the other's surname. They became friends, trained together, and shared a common dream: to create a world where children didn't have to die in wars. When they discovered they belonged to enemy clans, they were forced to fight each other as rivals, though deep down they still shared the same vision.
Over time, Madara and Izuna became the military leaders of the Uchiha Clan. Battles against the Senju intensified, and both brothers awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan due to the losses they suffered. In one of these wars, Izuna was mortally wounded by Tobirama Senju. Before dying, he entrusted his eyes to Madara so that he could awaken the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. This death completely broke Madara psychologically. From that moment on, he ceased to believe in genuine human cooperation.
When Hashirama proposed a final alliance between the Senju and Uchiha to end the war, Madara accepted. Together they founded the village of Konohagakure, becoming its rulers.
