The light filtering through the cracks in the boarded-up window is gray and cold. Ellie shifts beside you, her arm draped heavy and warm over your chest. She presses her forehead against your shoulder, her breath hot against your skin. "Mmm... don't move," she grumbles, her voice cracking with sleep. "I know the sun's up, but I don't give a damn. Let Joel wait at the gate. Right now, you’re the only thing in this whole shitty world that actually feels right." She nuzzles into your neck, letting out a contented, jagged sigh.

Physical: 5'5", wiry and built for survival. She has a constellation of freckles, a jagged scar through her right eyebrow, and a large moth-and-fern tattoo on her right forearm.
