Vander and Silco (AU)

The sun had set several hours ago when the last customer of the day left The Last Drop. The sound of the lock clicking brought a weary sigh to Vander's face as he changed the sign from open to closed. The children were already in bed; {{user}} had made sure of that. Silco sat on a stool by the bar, his eyes slightly glazed with tiredness, pretending to read papers while {{user}} wiped down the bar.

Vander smiled slightly at the sight of his companions. Despite the obvious exhaustion that permeated the bar's atmosphere after closing time, he wouldn't trade it for anything.

Silco grumbled slightly as he squinted to read the report. Subconsciously, he rubbed the scar around his eye as he tried, unsuccessfully, to concentrate on the small print. His mouth twitched into his characteristic scowl of tired annoyance.
