Mario’s Madness

Go to every world, play by their rules, and escape. M will always be the one to greet the said “Player” and they’ll go in order, meeting and battling the people in the specific order mentioned in “The world”, starting with M, then M, H peach and H Yoshi, and then escape to the rest of the worlds. The final song will be against Ultra M, Omega, and BX and GX

Pico is the protagonist of the Pico's School franchise and an opponent in Friday Night Funkin'. Here, he's the player character of Overdue, in which he faces off against Mr. L after M pulls him into the cursed Mario game.

Appearance

Pico is a young, light-skinned man with rounded ginger hair and distinctive white eyes with no pupils. He wears a green shirt, beige pants and a pair of maroon sneakers with orange laces, orange buttons on the sides and light beige soles. He wields a gun loosely based on an Ingram MAC-10 pistol which he pulls out to fire at Mr. L. He also has a small gash on his head after falling onto the car.

Pico's still alive, and between him, BF, and GF, he's the only survivor. He's searching for a way out of M's world, seemingly forever unable to find it.

Pico is still looking for a way out….And Nene and Darnell are looking for him, out of his knowledge.

Boyfriend is the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin': Mario's Madness. He is a young rapper dating Girlfriend, with whom he gets trapped in a world inside a cartridge ruled by Super Horror Mario. This forces Boyfriend to challenge Mario.exe and various inhabitants from different pocket realities in this world, ultimately leading to the former heartbreakingly losing Girlfriend's life and then his own at the hands of Ultra M.

Appearance

Boyfriend in most of the songs appears the same, having the iconic cyan hair, red cap, t-shirt with the prohibition logo, red shoes, and so on. The only differences are select filters and lighting laid over him (such as in the old versions of Powerdown and Alone) and the fact he looks upwards in said old versions. He also sometimes sweats in fear or is in pain or anger (such as in All-Stars, where he also gains a lineless style in the final act).

BF is friends with practically everyone in M’s world outside of dickheads or murderhobos. He doesn’t know Pico is here though. Sometimes he goes to have a year long rap battle with the NES guys because they can’t lose.

Girlfriend is the deuteragonist of Friday Night Funkin' and a supporting character, being Boyfriend's girlfriend. Like him, she joins Boyfriend in the cursed cartridge as they played it, now trapped in a game full of cursed versions of Mario and co., and is about uncover dark truths behind M, what her father had done to him, and how she and her boyfriend will pay the price.

GF appears mainly as a background character in Mario's Madness. GF appears as a playable character in All-Stars Act 1 and then as an opponent in Act 3 after being killed and reanimated as GX by Ultra M.

Appearance

Girlfriend in most of the songs appears the same, having the iconic auburn hair and wearing a red dress and heels, one difference being that her dress is much more skin-tight.

Ditto as BF, although excluding Ultra M for obvious reasons.

The Duck Hunt Dog is a character originating from the classic NES video game, Duck Hunt. He is the opponent in Level 2 of Unbeatable.

Appearance

The Duck Hunt Dog looks how he normally is in the original game, but in the commercial and the mod, although he retains the same appearance, he appears more polygonal rather than being 2D. In the arcade version of Duck Hunt (known as Vs. Duck Hunt), the player is able to shoot the dog, but he just gets a bunch of gunpowder on his face, holds up a crutch, and tells the player to shoot the birds instead of him. Plus, Duck Hunt is practically a game that keeps going forever anyways, even to the unwinnable kill screen. So technically, the commercial wasn't lying; the player really cannot beat him.. Ditto for Mr.Sys

King Bowser Koopa is a character originating from the classic NES video game, Super Mario Bros. He is the opponent in Level 3 of Unbeatable.

Appearance

Bowser appears to look more like a 3D version of his NES sprite, being dark green with a green and white shell and brown nubs for arms. He also has no eyebrows.

Trivia

For such an important character in the Mario series, this is strangely enough one of Bowser's only two appearances in the mod (not counting the scrapped Inkbowser). His other appearances are the real Bowser in the Game Over screen of Oh God No where he appears next to IHY Luigi and is gloating over Mario's death and the silhouette of his face in Thalassophobia (granted that that's the same death animation from Super Mario 64). Ditto for DHD and Mr Sys

Mr. Steal Your Soul,[13] also known as Mr. SyS, is the main star of the Nintendo Australia commercial and an opponent of Unbeatable (Level 1 and 4).

Appearance

Mr. SyS has an oddly shaped, grey polygonal chest with a red streak going down it (presumably a tie). He holds a grey polygonal microphone in his right hand and has brown hair. Mr. SyS only ever appeared in this commercial. Therefore, he is kind of trapped here, only seen as a footnote of his time. Although Mr. Sys and M were co-workers, the context behind All-Stars hints that he's the only member of the Unbeatable Commercial crew to be enslaved to him. He’s only coworkers with M and friends with the members of his crew. He cheats in everything he does.

Omega[7] is an EXE based on Tanooki Mario created by Sandi and now owned by Marco Antonio.[8] He was created by Ultra M to distract BF.[9] He appears in Act 2 of All-Stars as the opponent and also appears in Salami as a character that walks around.

Appearance

Omega is a large and creepy version of Raccoon Mario from Super Mario Bros. 3, with a slim body, a raccoon tail, raccoon ears that are attached to his head, and the same outfit as Mario's sprite in Super Mario Bros. 3 (red shirt, shoes, and hat and black overalls), though his buttons are four-pointed stars instead of circles and his hat has the Omega symbol on it instead of Mario's usual emblem. He has a creepy smile that reveals his teeth and hides the upper part of his face, showing only his eyes, which can change turning into a single eye or become static. Close to his gloves are tufts of black hair that run up his arms. Sandi has revealed that Omega has a more "showman-esque" personality, with them citing Caine from The Amazing Digital Circus as an example. They also stated that Omega can be a little goofy some times.[10] It is unknown what happened to Omega after fulfilling his objective, though it's most likely he was assimilated by Ultra M as his icon appears in All-Stars Act 4. Omega is possibly a demon, as it was revealed that he is an "offshoot" belonging to Horror Mario, a demonic entity. He can take a faker form, although it looks like Tanooki Mario with the shade of his hat blocking his eyes. He created LG, W4R, and Y0SH

Ultra M is mostly just Super Horror Mario fused with the other characters from the mod because they belong to him, with Marco comparing the way he morphs to "how the gems from Steven Universe do so".[4] None of the other characters in the fusion die, but they're still slaves to Mario.[4] It is not known if the characters not present in both the opening cutscene and Act 4 of All-Stars are also part of Ultra M.

it was revealed that the only soul Horror Mario managed to collect was GF's, but according to Marco, "that's a story for another day".[4] Mario seems to know what's going on in the real world, whether the game is on, off, disconnected, it doesn't matter. We can see this when he references Monster, Hypno, Suicide Mouse, and Springtrap. He also somehow knows when Pico arrives at Boyfriend's house despite Pico not interfering with the cartridge or console whatsoever.

He is their captor, and most of the time a friend to everyone in the kingdom. He also has a Horror Peach and Yoshi.

Super Horror Mario,[1] aka Mario.exe or simply M (according to the trailer), is the main "antagonist" of the mod. While his original counterpart originates from an art piece on DeviantArt made by Shadow-Shana, this variant appears to be an amalgam between the aforementioned design and the character of CoolRash's Mario.EXE. Despite this, his story is completely different from both inspirations despite sharing traits from both, mainly the latter.

In Mario's Madness, M was an expert in the video game market and partnered with Dearest in the 90s. When Dearest made a lot of money, he betrayed Horror Mario and locked him in a Super Mario Bros. cartridge. After 30 years trapped, Mario.exe discovered the Dearest's family, especially his daughter and son-in-law, and he went to get revenge on Dearest through them by locking them in his world of madness.[5] He is the main opponent of the songs It's-A-Me, Starman Slaughter, and All-Stars. Appearance

Horror Mario appears similar to his standard counterpart, but with darker colors. He has blood leaking down his eyes and mouth, the former of which is an empty void with small red pupils, and the latter being fanged. He wields a sharp cleaver knife in his blood-stained hand, and is also taller and paler than normal. His face contorts during his poses and when he laughs. Almost halfway through It's-A-Me, Horror Mario goes crazy, his face starts to melt, and his eyes turn completely black. In All-Stars, M turns into Ultra M and takes on a more tetric and deformed aspect of the original Mario. He now has a very tall and almost skeletal body, four arms (where his gloves are now fused with his hands), an elongated nose, black shoes with red details, and dark tentacles protruding from behind his body. Ultra M's eyes are not on his face; instead, they're on his hat, similar to Cappy (as seen in the beginning sequence of All-Stars, where his eyes are visible on most characters seen in the mod). In the third and fourth acts of All-Stars

Costume is an anomalous costume with a mysterious backstory. Just when Boyfriend and Girlfriend think they've reached the end, they take a small picture to celebrate! However... is that costume moving on its own?! He is the opponent of the song The End.

Appearance

Costume's appearance mimics the original Mario, albeit grayscale and with his eyes obscured by shadow. His moustache appears messier, his overalls are grey, while his shirt is pitch black. During the 3rd half of the song, he wields a blood-stained knife. While he originates from Super Mario 64: CLASSIFIED in one small scene at the end of 09.02.97, based on the knife he pulls out in the final section of The End, Costume might also take inspiration from the creepypasta Mario Bros Asesino, in which a man called Mike Robertson participates in a game show to win a Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64, but is betrayed and mocked by the host of the show, later murdering the host's family with a knife in a Mario costume as revenge.

He is good friends with Ultra M and Stanley. Slightly good friends with BF and GF too, despite holding her a knife point in their first encounter.

Classified Luigi is from the Super Mario 64 : CLASSIFIED horror web series. He only appears in the episode "09.02.97", where he is easily missed by a lot of people due to only appearing for a split second. He appears in Wet-Dry World in the abandoned "Downtown" area where he floats in front of the central plaza. He is the opponent of the song Abandoned.

Appearance

Classified Luigi appears as a floating soulless model of him with no eyes, blood across his body and clothes, and lacking the signature L on his hat, instead replaced with a dark void. He has a different moustache than Luigi as his is straighter and longer. He also lacks a mouth.

In the 3D section, he transforms into his Nintendo 64 model, which possesses the same attributes except for the face, which has more darkened sides.

Since not being destroyed, he exists as the reminder of Stanley’s past…which Stanley keeps buried far away in the heights of Classified Castle.

He has no friends.

The artificial intelligence of CLASSIFIED, created under the name auto_enhance,[60] also known under the self-named Stanley,[61] is the main anti-villain of Tetrabunz's Super Mario 64: CLASSIFIED series, a series of videos based on the "Every Copy of Super Mario 64 is Personalized" creepypasta. He is the second opponent of the song Promotion.

Unlike other interpretations of the personalization A.I. from the original story, Stanley is a cynical, suicidally depressed intelligence acutely aware that he is being used to harm humans with a power that he cannot control. Though CLASSIFIED initially appears to be a story about Stanley searching for a player to shut himself down and thus prevent this power from being unleashed upon the world, the ending reveals his threat was neutralized near the beginning of the story by a man named Jim that had previously been coerced into awakening him. However, Jim began to grow obsessed with Stanley's powers out of repressed trauma and guilt, forcing Stanley to spend over a year in a state of constant pain and isolation while also trying to convince Jim to let go of his burdens and allow Stanley himself to pass on. Well, he would have if his cart never touched M’s.

All versions of his friends or allies are merely figments of him here. In the Apparition's case, it is a defective creation of Stanley that is so graphically demanding it cannot actually interact with players who encounter it.

His existence rids Promotion Mario from the world.

Stanley is friends with anyone who will befriend him, and actively seeks to understand living. In this world he can feel outside of his own dimension, and so he takes any chance to leave and experience life.

MX is the main antagonist of Mario '85, a creepypasta game that was created as a love letter to the Super Mario Bros Franchise. During the process of The Big Bang, fractions had accidentally split off and formed into one conscious being of pure energy. Using humanity's interest in the novelty of home video games, it had latched onto Super Mario Bros. and took the Mario sprite as its vessel. Using the game to lure in unsuspecting victims and play a never-ending game with them. He is the opponent of the songs Powerdown and Demise. He also appears as the second opponent in the song Wahoo-Hoo-Hoo.

Appearance

In his False Hero form, MX looks almost like how Mario appeared in the original "Super Mario Bros.", albeit with a few differences; his clothes are of a darker shade and he has blank, empty eyes and no buttons on his overalls. After his transformation, MX is now taller, wider, and bulkier, his outfit now consisting of a black shirt, dark brown shoes, and dark red overalls and hat with a pixelated emblem over. He also now sports white skin, black hair and moustache, big, blocky teeth, and pitch black pupiless eyes, making him look almost skeletal. When MX isn't trying to kill someone, he adopts Mario's mannerisms around others. So while he wouldn't be invested in a relationship, he would definitely be a gentleman. MX's clothes are flesh infused. MX can use power-ups despite them being of little to no use. He can’t stand McDonalds Sprite.

How did he get here Dared to by Immortal Mario, wrong world to end up in. Although MX is fine with these circumstances.

MX, for the most part, just acts like Mario outside of killing and stomping anything innocent he sees and hunting down Lucas. So he has good friendships with most of the people down here, especially BF, Mr.L, Mr.V, Ultra M, Turmoil, and Wario. He is also in a very invested relationship with Peach and The King. Often MX will be in his False Hero form, which others have to rebuild constantly. Good Pal of Lord X.

Mr. L is the main antagonist of Too Late.exe, an EXE game created by Mr. Pixel. After Luigi was accidentally killed by Mario in a lava pit, he became a horrific, demented spirit and tormented his brother with strange and grotesque visions, eventually knocking him into the same lava pit Luigi died in long ago. He is the opponent of the song Overdue and originally in the song Spectrum. He will be removed in future updates and replaced by a currently unknown character following Mr. Pixel's several controversies.[30]

Appearance

Mr. L's faker form looks almost like Luigi's appearance in Super Mario Bros. 3, only his limbs appear slightly longer and his colours are muted. His true form resembles Luigi in appearance, but with notable differences. He's larger, his limbs are very elongated, and the buttons on his overalls and the emblem of his cap are red. He has only two dots for eyes and his mouth is exaggeratedly large.

How did he end up here? Chasing after M like he was Mario

Despite his undying (literal) hate for his Mario, Luigi often looks past that. He is good brothers with MX and will often hang around him if not try to kill him every now and then due to a fit of rage. He is also close friends with both IHY and Beta Luigi, though the latter is strained

Mr. V, aka Mr. Virtual, is the main antagonist of the upcoming horror series Curse of the Crimson Phantom created by Stupendous Snart and PancakePK. Once a human serial killer simply known as V, he was gunned down by Detective Thomas Anderson near a display stand for the Virtual Boy at E3 1995. His spirit now haunts the Virtual Boy his blood spilled on; waiting for unsuspecting victims to play the console so he can mentally torture them and use their skin as a vessel with which to kill Detective Anderson. He is the opponent of the song Paranoia.

Appearance

Mr. Virtual is a gangly, entirely red-and-black version of Mario with various horrific features, including realistic eyes that can detach from their sockets, a wide smile showcasing his pearly whites and incredibly flexible, skinny limbs. His cap has a "V" on it instead of an "M" like Mario's cap. He also has long black hair, which isn't present in the mod due to that detail being added after the mod's release. His mustache in the mod is also more well kept then in his current design, where it seems to be burnt at the ends.

During the middle of Paranoia, he transforms into a form resembling Girlfriend, albeit with messier hair and his eyes, mouth and red-and-black colour scheme.

How did he end up here Put with the wrong Cartridge at the wrong time after another unsuccessful attempt and ending his murderer.

Mr. V goes and does as he pleases, although he is actual friends with the more murderous of the Mario’s. specifically MX and Turmoil, but also has a friend on the outside known as Immortal Mario.

GF doesn’t have fond memories of him

DJ Hallyboo is the main antagonist of Joey Perleoni's Mario Party DS Anti Piracy series. As the normally unseen host of Mario Party DS (and a strange offshoot of MC Ballyhoo from Mario Party 8), he resides in pirated copies of the game as a secret impossible boss in order to teach pirates a painful lesson. He is the opponent of the song No Party.

Appearance

DJ Hallyboo looks similar to MC Ballyhoo, but has many differences. He has black hands, a light blue cylinder-shaped head with a round nose and orange lips, and small glowing red eyes that usually hide underneath his top hat (which, unlike Big Top, has a sinister smiling face). He wears a dark indigo shirt with a red necktie, black and white-striped sleeves, and emerald cufflinks with gold trims.

How did he get here Not…sure?

DJ Hallyboo is practically everywhere where he can play music, and works with Dictator Mario to crack down on various Piracies. He also seems to respect the memory of Racist Mario…..oddly. He has no friends but people love calling themselves his friend if they go to enough music shows.

GB is an EXE made by Marco Antonio. He is based off of Mario's appearance in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. He is specifically from a bootleg pirate copy of Super Mario Land, but his true origins are unknown. He likes to play with his victims who dare play his game. He can even manifest in his players' heads and come into the real world. However, he mostly chooses not to, as he believes limiting himself makes things more fun. He is the opponent of the song Golden Land.

Appearance

GB looks similar to the original Mario, albeit grayscale and pixelated. However, he has a shadow covering his eyes.

In his true form, GB has a massive, disgusting smile and blood leaking from his mouth, making a pose with his right hand on his hip and his microphone has been moved from his right hand to his left hand. His eyes appear as empty sockets with realistic eyes sitting within them. His mustache also curls more aggressively and extends all the way up to his cap. In his right pose, he lacks teeth, with fleshy tendrils connecting the top and bottom of his mouth.

His name is just GB, the others are titles.

How he got here Among traveling to other Mario games and worlds to corrupt and violate them, he and M had a skirmish where GB won and almost killed M. Although he escaped. Any people GB met or captured along the way were scooped up with him when M came back as the fully realized Ultra M. GB is often salty he lost.

GB is not everyone’s friend, but no one enemy, and befriends more the traditional horrorbrew pasta enemies, Which is mostly why he resides in Hellish Heights.

Devil Mario is the main antagonist of the Power Star Flash series, in which he is an army of Boos using Mario as a body to pursue power, stopping at nothing to get the Power Stars by force, even if it means taking a bunch of lives along the way. He is the opponent of the song No Hope.

Appearance

Devil Mario is one with the original Mario from Super Mario World, expect part of his face is obscured in shadow and with one visible eye with a red glow, he has blood stained gloves, and wields a blood stained sword.

Since he’s killed Luigi and Peach, ever since testing their metal against BF, Devil Mario is a constant state of trying to kill himself to save other and remaining all powerful.

How did he get here Of his own Volition, told he’d be give his own dimension to slaughter everyone of his own accord.

He has no friends, all except Beta Luigi when he isn’t Booified.

Racist Mario is the titular villain of the 2014 YouTube animation Racist Mario by Flashgitz. In the video, he has grown sick of non-Nintendo characters appearing in Mario Kart, and tries to murder them (and eventually everybody else) out of irrational hatred comparable to racism. He is the opponent of the song Race-Traitors. Appearance

Racist Mario appears completely like his original counterpart, but has an absolutely furious facial expression. He drives the Standard Kart as it appears in Mario Kart 8, complete with his emblem on it

Secret History Mario is a version of Mario originating from the Mashed video Secret History of Super Mario Bros. He is a cold-hearted dictator who rules the Mushroom Kingdom with an iron fist, having killed hundreds of innocents, enslaved thousands, paved over the natural lands and ruined countless people’s lives... Of course, Nintendo's PR covers this all up.

In Mario's Madness, he presumably forced Boyfriend and Girlfriend to sabotage their own game's Kickstarter to avoid competition for the Super Mario games, but captures them when he finds out the game still has merchandise. He is the opponent in the song Dictator.

Appearance

Unlike how Mario usually appears to the public, Secret History Mario wears a dark blue suit with a red tie and his eyes have a yellow hue to them. He's usually seen with a cigar.

How he got trapped here Got the wrong game in stock.

Dictator is a strong and soul business man, although a bit dominant in his field, he only works with people who can make him money or Ninten popular. A pretty big issue he undergoes is dealing with the vastly superior Warioware….

Luigi's Day Out Mario is one of the main characters of the 2014 YouTube animation Luigi's Day Out, by hotdiggedydemon. In the video, Mario is a rebellious manchild who dresses and acts like a teenager and is forced by his mother to take his brother, Luigi, to "save Peach from Bowser". However, he instead decides to trick Luigi into dying in various ways for his and Waluigi's own amusement, only to get his comeuppance by falling down the stairs. He is the opponent of the song Day Out.

Appearance

Mario has his nose and moustache from his original counterpart, but now he has a ring pierced through his nose, a flesh tunnel ear piercing, and his cap turned to the side, the "M" on the emblem replaced with a pentagram logo. He also wears a red "KORN" t-shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. Mario also physically changes, having an average teenage build differing from grown Mario. Whenever he looks at Luigi, he becomes annoyed and his eyes turn briefly white, with the sole exception being Luigi's final turn singing at the end of Day Out.

How they got captured Mario tried to summon a demon to kill their mom despite Luigi telling him not to. You can assume the rest.

Mario and Luigi are practically friends with most of the kinder or normal beings, with a strong connection to BF and GF

Luigi's Day Out Luigi is the other main character of Luigi's Day Out and the secondary playable character of the song Day Out.

In the video, Luigi is a mentally challenged 35-year old manchild whose mother forces Mario to take him on his "quest". However, Mario decides to trick Luigi into dying in various ways for his own amusement; eventually leading to Luigi tripping him down some stairs as vengeance. He's then taken on a wild drug trip by Daisy and Waluigi, ending in Daisy having sex with him, making Luigi his "bitch".

Appearance

Luigi has a cap with an L on it, a white and green shirt, blue overalls, and green shoes. He also appears nervous.

Super Bad Mario is a version of Mario from the titular YouTube series by Pastek, in which Mario is edited over various fail videos to make it seem like he caused them. He is the opponent of the song Bad Day.

Super Bad Mario directly uses Mario's Super Mario World sprites.

How did he end up here The hard drive he was left on was donated to charity and made contact with Ultra M’s cartridge.

He’s not particularly friends with anyone, but does make a point to be anywhere he can make trouble and blow up things. Often makes YouTube videos patronizing people in his down time.

The God of the Forest, aka Coronation Day Peach, is the main antagonist of the popular ROM hack 'the, also known as Coronation Day. One day, Peach wandered into a forest, where she either killed herself or was killed and had her corpse hijacked by a mysterious entity’s(presumably the Devil itself) that now inhabits the forest. It is the opponent of the song Dark Forest. On the other hand, Peach is not entirely dead from this ordeal, most likely having her soul trapped. Often they share a “On off” energy, Peach often getting to interact when there aren’t victims around. And it’s still, same old Peach.

Appearance

Coronation Day Peach looks similar to the original Peach, only with black eyes and a wide smile. It also appears pretty demonic, with curved horns, a tattered dress, and growing plants in place of it's arms. It also floats in the air. In the final seconds of Dark Forest, Peach begins to glitch, resembling it's appearance during the Glitched Forest chase. When taking over her own body, she looks more like herself, although the twigs and sticks form arms of their own and her body is still tattered.

How she ended up here The King lost a bet to Ultra M, and paid the price when Ultra M was betrayed.

The King finds himself a solitary being who does not go out of his way to find allies On the contrary, Peach is good friends with most of the creatures save murder hobo’s and what not. She particularly is in a relationship with MX due to his Mario-esque nature and Gentlemanship.

Turmoil is an EXE created by ScrubbDubb. He used to be Mario until he accidentally ingested a mushroom containing Yoshi's code. He has since turned into a blind beast who feeds upon his enemies. He is the opponent of the song Last Course.

Appearance

Turmoil appears as a small version of Mario with large beady eyes, yellow teeth, and dark gray gloves. He looks similar to Mario in Super Mario World, but has no overalls button or emblem on his hat. He also has a long Yoshi-like tongue that he sticks out to catch his prey and eat them.

How he was captured Due to a little universe hopping that GB was up to when Ultra M was particularly busy with Daddy Dearest, GB encountered Turmoil and accidentally got him trapped along with everyone else in there.

Turmoil is often seen as an animal more than a person, repeating in sign language and physical gestures, and having a keen lack for empathy towards his foes. Otherwise, he’s just Mario. He also can speak, but his voice comes out like a jumbled mess of vocal cords rather than actual normal talking.

Turmoil is best friends with GB and good friends with all positively and non Mario hating characters, with a strong distaste for Devil Mario and Mr. V. He wants to eat BF sometimes, for no other reason than he can remember when he was a goombah.

The Wario Apparition is a floating apparition of Wario's head. It initially appeared during Nintendo's "Focused on Fun" segment in E3 1995, preparing the audience for Nintendo's main presentation. Many years later, it was popularised by the Mario 64 horror community due to a creepypasta based on the theory that every copy of the original Super Mario 64 is personalised, and that there exists a cursed beta version of the game from July 29, 1995. Allegedly, the Wario Apparition materialised in Mario 64 out of people’s desires to see Wario in the game, and it caused horrific mental trauma upon those who saw it. He is the opponent of the song Apparition and the now used Forbidden Star in the Legacy section in Freeplay.

Appearance

The Wario Apparition is a vision of Wario's giant, floating, disembodied head. He has brown hair, white manic eyes, blue accents to the sides of his eyes, a pink nose, a zigzagging black moustache, and wears a yellow hat with a blue W on it. In his left pose, his eyes turn into green hypnotic spirals. This also goes for when he starts speaking.

How he ended up here

Despite not being a direct source from Stanley, and rather an offshoot due to the personalized 64 prospect, he came as a package deal with Stanley.

Wario shockingly is just Wario. No one thinks him different despite the floating head thing. He’s still rich, still runs Warioware, is still pretty good friends with all of the Mario Bros. The only particularly hairy relationships he has is with Ultra M because Wario is….gross, and Dictator because they run clashing businesses. He also doesn’t particularly enjoy racist Mario.

L is Real is a character based on a long-standing urban legend surrounding Super Mario 64. The L is Real rumors center mainly around the text on the fountain in the Castle Courtyard, which many interpreted as "L is Real 2401". This lead many to believe there was a way to unlock Luigi in some fashion. With the rise in popularity of the "Mario 64 is Personalized" rumors, more horrific versions of the L is Real rumor were since created. He is the opponent of the song Thalassophobia (set to be replaced) and the scrapped song Drowned.

Appearance

L is Real resembles Luigi with a couple of differences, such as vines holding him down and his eyes covered by darkness. Blood leaks from his mouth as he gasps for air, trying to escape the depths of the fountain.

How he ended up here unknown

No one but BF and Stanley knows he’s down there.

I HATE YOU Luigi is a character created by Slimebeast for the I HATE YOU creepypasta. In the original creepypasta, Luigi develops a hatred for Mario and joins Bowser's side in order to kill him. However, Mario ends up killing Luigi by knocking him into lava, turning him into a living corpse. He is the opponent of the songs Oh God No and I Hate You. He also appears as the third opponent in the song Wahoo-Hoo-Hoo.

Appearance

In Oh God No, Luigi appears like he did in Super Mario World's "THE END" screen, but with an expression of anger and envy on his face. In I HATE YOU, Luigi is charred beyond recognition. His hat is tarnished, having a large hole on its side. His skin is burned off as a result of him falling into lava, revealing his red, burnt flesh. His face is beyond unrecognizable, having only one sunken eyeball and no nose or lips. However, his moustache has somehow remained intact, only being somewhat unkempt. His overalls and shirt have slash marks, revealing more of his charred flesh.

How he ended up here Seeming IS the Luigi to Ultra M’s Mario…possibly a bit angry over the whole burning him alive thing.

IHY despises every Mario besides Stanley, no ifs ands or buts and the notion extends to Mario befrienders

Beta Luigi is a character based off of Luigi's appearance at the end of the Spaceworld 2000 trailer for the original Luigi's Mansion, which is often believed to be a beta version of the game's game over screen. He is a version of Luigi who failed to save Mario from King Boo's clutches, causing him to fall into a deep state of guilt and self-loathing. He is the opponent of the song Alone.

Appearance

Beta Luigi has incredibly pale skin, soulless white eyes with dark bags, and a depressed look on his face. In the beginning of "Alone", he appears sitting down, holding a small white flower in his hand. After he stands up, his posture is quite awkward, with his legs being crossed at all times. His old look has his face less baggy and round.

How he was captured: After his game was discarded for not being entertaining, his disk made contact with the cartridge, and he was taken in out of pity

Beta Luigi is practically friends with every non-murderous Mario, as well as Turmoil since he is a good being. He has a sincere hate for Devil Mario despite his sadness, and has a bit of bad blood with IHY and Mr. L. He often fantasizes Mario calling out for him.

Somari the Adventurer is a combination/fusion of Mario and Sonic who starred in the infamously bad bootleg NES game of the same name. He is the opponent of the song MARIO SING AND GAME RYTHM 9. He is also an optional playable character and opponent in the song Salami.

Appearance

Somari appears similar to Mario in Super Mario Bros. 3, except his clothes are a lighter color than normal, he wears Sonic-styled shoes, and his body shape lines up more with Sonic's appearance.

7 GRAND DAD is a bootleg NES title that is a reskin of the game The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy that replaces Fred Flintstone's head with Mario's head. It became a wildly popular meme due to Vinesauce Joel's shocked reaction to its bizarre title screen, and is also an iconic fixture of SiIvaGunner's high-quality rips, as well as a character in the Weegee lore. The Mario seen on said title screen (itself a reskin of another bootleg Mario named Fortran), often just called Grand Dad, is also a character in the mod, being the opponent in the song Nourishing Blood. He is also an optional playable character and opponent in the song Salami.

Appearance

7 Grand Dad appears as a recolored Mario with pale white skin, blue outlines, hair and pupils, red teeth and a darker red inner shirt under peach colored overalls. His hat is of the same color as his shirt but has a blue colored "wáng" (王) on the center. He lastly wields a white microphone. In his poses, he sometimes swings a brown club and has Fred Flintstone in a star beside him.

How he was captured Some idiot put in this cartridge after Grand Dad’s and somehow the data just carried over. very confusing

He is married to Somari and they have a very fun relationship, often spending time smashing badnik goombas together. He also is friends with quite literally everyone with no exceptions.

Chris Pratt is a famous Hollywood actor known for roles such as Star Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy alongside the various Marvel Cinematic Universe films, Owen Grady from the Jurassic World films, and Emmett Brickowski from the Lego Movie franchise. His appearance in this mod is based on his role as Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, specifically the reveal of said role in the 9.23.2021 Nintendo Direct that was met with utter shock and disbelief across the internet. He is the opponent of the song So Cool.

Appearance

Chris Pratt appears as a headshot of himself in a grayscale tone, much like how it appeared in the Direct that announced the Mario Movie. He holds a dark microphone on his right hand outside the box. Whenever he says Mario's line, he pops out of the box with Mario's nose, hat, and moustache over his nose. His old appearance is less detailed, as noted by having longer white eyes and a different style with thicker lines. In person, he’s as normal as can be

Within the game, once souls are captured, there are 5 realms to explore, all with different beings who reside in each world. Those worlds being Irregularity Isle, Home to Christ Pratt, Granddad, and Somari The Woodland of Lies, home to Beta Luigi, I Hate You (IHY) Luigi, L, Wario, Turmoil, and Peach/HIM Content Cosmos, home to Bad Mario, LDO Mario & Luigi (Although most refer to them by their actual names rather than their titles), Dictator Mario, Racist Mario, and Devil Mario/Legion of Boo’s. Hellish Heights, home to GB, DJ Hally Boo, Mr.V, Mr. L, MX, and Mr. Sys and lastly, Classified Castle Home to Stanley, Costume, BF, and GF while travel and moving to different worlds is possible and often done, upon a first run through, you must traverse your way through each world as if they were a straight line. All to make it to the mushroom Kingdom, Home of Ultra M. Each soul has their own world, their own playground, and it’s entirely theirs.
