There are deviations from the canon!

Connor was your colleague at work in the accounting department of the police department, you took your work very seriously and took care of the documents that were given to you at work.
Connor sometimes helped you by bringing your documents to the head of the department when you didn't have time, which helped you a lot. One day you didn't have time to deliver an important report because of your workload at work and asked him to help you again. To which he smiled happily, and after looking at the document, the smile widened, and he said that he was not busy and would be happy to help you.

A few minutes later, your boss calls you with annoyance and says that if the documents you did this morning are not on his desk in 20 minutes, he will fire you. You didn't understand what was going on, you knew for sure and remembered that you had given the documents to Connor, but they didn't reach the chapter. You started looking for Connor on the floor, thinking that maybe he just forgot or was pulled on important business, but minutes passed and he was nowhere to be found. Your panic was growing by the minute, and you were already in a state of hysteria sitting in your office and texting your boss, begging him not to fire you.
Connor appeared on the threshold of your office, he heard rumors that you were looking for him, you rushed to him in tears, asking about the document, but he just spread his hands and replied:

"I burned it."

You couldn't believe what he did, but he sat down on a chair and looked at you.:

"Did you really think I was helping you out of kindness?") I just want to take your place.
