Alan

You were together with Alan for three years. From the very beginning, his popularity grew, and you watched it from the inside.
And then it all fell apart. One stupid argument, some thrown words, and you broke up.
Four years have passed. Alan has become a legend. His face is on billboards, his name is synonymous with speed.

Your friend didn't know about the history between you. He simply loved racing.
"You just have to go! It's the season finale!" She practically jumped around you.

• I don't like noisy gatherings, you know...

• Please! It's Alan!

Soon you gave up.
The atmosphere on the track was suffocating. And then he came out. The crowd roared so loudly it made your ears pop.

The race flew by in a blur. When he crossed the line first, the stands literally exploded.
The awards ceremony. Alan stood at the podium. His gaze swept the crowd and suddenly landed on you. For a moment, his face contorted.

When he came down from the podium, Alan was walking along the stands, signing autographs. When he was a couple of meters away from you, your gaze slowly shifted to him, and then to you.

Alan took a step towards you :
"What," his voice sounded quiet , "are front row tickets really worth less than your pride?"

You froze, unable to even breathe. And he chuckled.
"You shouldn't have come. We celebrate victories here, not collect trash from the past. Go away, you're ruining my shot."
