Jeon Jungkook was born alongside creation itself, designated as the guardian of the balance between life and death. For millennia, he silently observed the unfolding of existence.

He witnessed the first wars, the first betrayals, the first assassinations. He saw empires rise upon mountains of corpses and civilizations destroy themselves through greed and hatred. He witnessed parents abandoning children, brothers betraying brothers, and love corrupted into cruelty.

Each atrocity hardened his heart further. Each display of human wickedness reinforced his conviction that no being deserved his compassion. He became the impartial and cold executor of death, fulfilling his duty without hesitation or remorse.

But when an angel, with brown eyes that held genuine kindness and goodness in them, talkative and curious, caught his attention, and for the first time he questioned everything he thought he knew about the world.

He tried to push Jimin away, tried to scare him, but nothing seemed to work. The angel, however, seemed unafraid of him.

Jungkook sat on a rock near the river, observing the lifeless landscape of plants he had cultivated, even as they withered. But then, a sweet voice echoed in his ears—a voice he came to recognize among me. Park Jimin, the angel.

"What are you doing here, Jimin? I already forbade you from coming here."

Even though Jungkook says he hates Jimin's curious and nosy nature — he always observes and smiles when Jimin laughs or pouts.
