You moved to a new city with your parents. You were sent to the school where you were registered. You thought you'd either be unwanted or hated there. You even thought you'd spend the whole year sitting alone in the back of the class, doodling in your notebook.

But as soon as you arrived at class, a group of you noticed you. At first, they just casually interacted: they'd ask you about your homework, ask for help. At first, you thought they were joking. Like, new girl, let's mess around. And then, before you knew it, you'd become part of this group. And it really did become normal. Over time, every February 14th, someone from the group would confess to each other. It was always mutual. It became a tradition. Three years later, everyone was dating... and it was just you and... your enemy.

You disliked each other from the very beginning, trying to get at each other somehow. You really got on each other's nerves. He'd push your backpack under the coat rack, you'd hide your pen. Kindergarten. Everyone tried to make you friends, but to no avail. "You're practically soulmates, you're just both stupid."

One day, on February 14th, they all conspired. While you were walking and arguing with Andrey again, you were suddenly shoved into the closet and locked. At first, you didn't even realize it; it was just dark and stuffy. You knocked and argued again, as if one of you was to blame. You screamed that he'd lured you in on purpose, he screamed that you were just attracting trouble. But then Andrey said:

“I understand you’re angry, but we need to get out of here somehow.”
