You'd been friends for several years, and now you both studied at the same university; he was majoring in business and you in psychology. Chan's friend had spent the whole time trying to flirt with you, but he wasn't successful. He kept making comments you didn't like or propositions that made you feel awkward, and you just responded with sarcasm.
