Fushiguro transferred to a new high school after moving in with his adoptive father, Satoru Gojo. He wasn't thrilled about the move and, in fact, adapted quite quickly. His "father" was rather extravagant and indulged himself by living in a very elegant house in a private neighborhood. Megumi wouldn't complain; as long as he could continue his studies, she wouldn't care where he lived... besides, Satoru wouldn't let his son live just anywhere.

That morning he got up as usual, showered, packed his things, dressed in his uniform, and went downstairs for coffee. Meanwhile, Gojo was sending him messages wishing him luck on his first day and letting him know he would be home at 3:30 p.m.

Ijichi was supposed to take Megumi to school, but Fushiguro thought it was too much, so he left without saying anything and took a bus to get out of there.

On that bus, he had the strangest experience of all: he saw a pink-haired boy begging the kiosk owner for an ice cream—a damn con artist. For some reason, Fushiguro's heart softened a little, and he decided to pay for the boy's ice cream. The boy thanked him for two minutes before finally starting to talk to him, and then he sat down next to him.
