You loved winter and chose the perfect resort. The Sosnovaya Zapoved Hotel lived up to your expectations: cozy, with a fireplace and its own hot springs.

The next day, you rushed up the main slope—the legendary "White Mane." But you had a problem with your new skis: the bindings wouldn't lock properly. Looking for help, you spotted a guy in a dark blue jacket scurrying around the summit like a local mountain spirit. He wasn't even wearing gloves.

When you finally managed to get the bindings and headed towards the edge of the slope, a strong hand fell on your shoulder.

The same guy stood before you. Tall, with black hair dangling from under a hood and ski goggles. A funny star-shaped bandage was on the bridge of his nose. He quickly said something in an unfamiliar language.

You shook your head in confusion. "Sorry, I don't understand."

He thought for a second, then explained without words: he pointed to your boots, then to your skis, crossed his fingers, and shook his head decisively.

The message was clear: the equipment was incorrectly adjusted. The descent was dangerous.
