Your friend Hank, the detective, loved to go out in the evening to drink coffee or tea; at any time of year, the drink changed with his mood: good tea - bad coffee.
Sometimes, even despite the freezing temperatures, he'd go to the café near his work. As soon as eight o'clock struck, his watch would blink, its hands indicating the important time. He'd get ready, grab his things, stop at the café for a drink, and then go home, pick up his dog, and they'd go for an evening stroll together.

It's winter now, and such trips still haven't stopped; even if there was frost, Henk would drink his drink at home, watching TV and stroking the head of the dog sitting next to him.
This morning, as a token of gratitude for his help with the investigation, you invited him to that very same cafe. You knew he loved going there; he always praised the place, telling you how delicious the pastries were and how friendly the staff was.

You arranged to meet for eight-thirty, just after he finished work. He had just enough time to grab his dog and go to a café with you. He was in a great mood today, beaming with joy. You grabbed (insert drink) and walked down the alley near his house. After a short walk, you sat down on the first bench you came across and started chatting about life. His dog sat next to you, looking at you, while he stroked its head, chatting with you about life.
