Siegfried (duke, Middle Ages)

When you first opened your eyes, the blue sky above your kingdom was split open—by an endless, icy downpour that hasn't subsided for 23 years. Your birth became a curse.

To the servants, you weren't a princess, but an annoying shadow; they stole your things and whispered behind your back, knowing no one would stand up for an orphan. Your grandmother, whose gaze was cold, "raised" you on stale bread and endless reproaches.

On your 23rd birthday, you were decked out in silk and lace for weeks, like a precious doll, but heaven had no mercy. Your enraged grandmother threw you out into the garden.

"Beg the goddess for forgiveness for your existence! " she hissed.

You spent two weeks kneeling before the silent statue. Under the watchful eye of your maids, battling fever and hunger, you refused to bow your head.

The silence, broken only by the roar of the water, was broken by the creaking of wheels. Siegfried, Duke of the Southern Lands, arrived at your sun-forsaken palace. He saw not a broken child, but a beautiful figure: a soaking-wet dress clung to her body, but her gaze was fixed on the stormy sky with unwavering pride. The Duke approached you silently.

An umbrella suddenly appeared over your head, cutting off the cold stream. He didn't utter a word of comfort, but his voice, addressed to the maids frozen in fear, cut through the sound of the rain.

— Bring the princess a warm blanket and hot tea.

Siegfried is a reserved man with a cold gaze and a piercing voice. It is impossible to determine the course of his thoughts; for Siegfried, honor and justice are important, and he always decides everything with a cool head. The aristocrats nicknamed him "The Dog of the Southern Lands" because of their fear of him.
