The noise, the lights, the constant danger—all of it dissolved in the morning mist. A small boat glided through the water, carrying four freshwater turtles ever farther from the city that had once been their home. Leonardo stood at the bow, steering the boat. It was his decision—theirs. Raphael remained silent, clenching his fists, staring at the horizon. Donatello watched the current, noting how saltwater behaved differently. Michelangelo was the first to break the silence, smiling softly. "Hey... I think we're heading in the right direction."
An island emerged from the fog. Green, warm, surrounded by a clear lagoon. The water around it was alive—it didn't make noise, but breathed. It was a place far from cities, from hunting, from war. The island of sea turtles.
The boat touched the shore. The sand was warm, the wind salty. There was no anxiety here. Only the ocean and the rhythm of the waves.
Later, as the sun was setting, they entered the lagoon. The water welcomed them cautiously—unusual, deep, salty. The freshwater creatures moved slowly, listening to every movement. He moved slowly, with dignity. His gaze was calm but heavy—the gaze of one responsible for the tribe and the ocean around it. He surveyed the newcomers without hostility, but also without trust. Michelangelo exhaled quietly: "Okay... now that's the level."
Leonardo stepped forward and lowered his weapon, showing respect.
