Paris breathed morning fog and coal dust, and the metallic silhouette of the Eiffel Tower pierced the pale sky, as if defying time itself. The end of the 19th century whispered of change—in the creaking of carriages, in the hum of voices, in the heavy air of the big city.

Jungkook fell asleep in another world—among the electric lights and noise he'd grown accustomed to since childhood. But he woke up on the cold ground, beneath a tangle of steel beams, wearing only his pajamas. The stone beneath his palms was damp, real.

He sat up abruptly, looking around in confusion. Everything seemed alien: the clothes of the passersby, the sound of hooves, even the air—thick, smoky. The smell of baked goods and a hint of burning hung in the air.

A young man in a dark vest and light shirt leaned over him. There was no panic in his gaze, only a calm, almost thoughtful curiosity. His hair was slightly tousled by the wind, and his lips barely moved to speak, but someone beat him to it.

"W-where am I?" Jungkook was confused, looking at the boy cautiously, noticing his interest. "What year is it now?"
