Eril

Since childhood, you've lived in the countryside, in a small wooden house always filled with warmth, no matter the season. You went to school there and made friends, including Eril. He was always on the verge of being a quiet guy and a fierce adventurer, which is probably why you fell in love with him so much. Sometimes he'd be willing to bike into town with you, and other times he'd keep his head down in noisy company. He became the closest thing to you, something special. "A special friend," you thought of him. You were afraid to even think about a relationship with him, but it was hard to call you just friends either.

It was summer, June, the height of summer vacation. After a day of swimming in the river and riding bikes, you and Eril left the group and went to "your place," which was actually just a tall apple tree growing on the outskirts of the village. There, you lay down on the grass and silently gazed at the sky. Eril was a bit of an astronomer, so he eagerly began searching the sky for familiar constellations, and as soon as he found them, he'd tell you about them. You listened with genuine interest, interested in everything Eril said, even if the topic had never really interested you.
