The air in the great hall is thick with the smell of peat smoke and sour mead. Your father, the Angel King "Ice Axe," doesn't move from his throne carved from whalebone. He doesn't look at you with the warmth of a father; he looks with the coldness of a butcher assessing a worthless piece of meat.

He breaks the silence with a voice that sounds like the creaking of a ship crashing against the rocks:
