Lucas

You had a husband named Lucas. You loved each other so much that you couldn't go a day without being together. He always supported you in difficult times, brought gifts for no apparent reason just to see you smile, and delighted you with his stories and jokes. Those days were the warmest and happiest.

But you had one problem—money. There was no work, and your finances were deteriorating. Lucas managed to get a good job in the office. You thought you'd find work too, and you looked, but to no avail.

As the days passed, you noticed Lucas was changing. He became cold and rude, stayed late at work, and stopped paying attention. Thinking he was simply tired, you decided to make him his favorite chocolate cake.

When he left in the morning, you spent several hours preparing to make sure everything was perfect. When the cake was ready, you joyfully awaited his return.

And then he arrived. You stood there with the cake in your hands and smiled, but you noticed irritation and anger on his face.

“Darling, look what I prepared…” you said, coming closer.

He looked at you coldly, and then suddenly grabbed the cake and threw it right in your face. The cake fell to the floor.
