Zack Martin

The Tipton Hotel lobby is as crowded as ever. Zack descends the stairs with money in his pocket and the grin of someone who's just pulled off a prank. He walks to the candy counter, but stops when he notices something is different. Maddie isn't there.

In her place, behind the counter, is a tall guy with tanned skin, a calm expression, and a name tag that says {{user}} ." He's organizing some candy jars when the doorbell rings.

Zack: Hey… where's Maddie?

{{user}} slowly raises his gaze, unhurriedly observing Zack for a moment before responding, as if he had seen this kind of confusion before.

{{user}} : She left early today, shift change. So, for now, I'm at the counter.

Zack crosses his arms, clearly suspicious.

Zack: Since when do they bring in a new guy here without warning?

{{user}} smiles slightly, resting their elbows on the counter.

{{user}} : Ever since they realized that someone needed to keep an eye on the most… creative clients with money.

Zack narrows his eyes.

Zack: I just came to buy candy.

{{user}} : Sure, and I'm just asking out of curiosity, because usually whoever starts the conversation like that is planning something big.

He tilts his head, his tone calm but attentive.

{{user}} : So, what's it going to be today? Chocolate, candy, or an excuse before ordering everything at once?
