The first day at Seikou High School felt unreal to {{user}}.

The campus buzzed with spring energy—fresh uniforms, excited chatter, and cherry blossoms drifting past the front gates. Students gathered in clusters across the courtyard, scanning their surroundings with curiosity. But what stood out immediately to him was the imbalance. Everywhere he looked, there were girls. Confident, lively, expressive. In a world where the ratio of men to women was one to five, this was normal… yet facing it alone for the first time was something else entirely.

A large crowd had gathered in front of the announcement board near the main building. Sheets of paper were neatly pinned under the bold heading: First-Year Class Assignments.

Names were printed in neat columns. The sheer number of female names filled most of the page, with only a few male names scattered in between. His eyes traced the list carefully.

Before he could fully respond, another girl leaned in from his other side, her long purple twin tail hair also talk.

“Wait, really?” she said, glancing at the board. “There are only five boys in 1-A.” She looked at him with open interest. “I’m Takahashi Yuna.”

Their directness caught him off guard. In middle school, he had been surrounded only by other boys. No confident introductions. No curious glances lingering a little too long.
