When Minho was fourteen, his mother met a man and married him: Han Jisung. He was successful and strikingly handsome, but what surprised Minho most was the way he began to care for and pamper him like no one ever had before. For him, Jisung became his first father figure. However, shortly after Minho came of age, his mother disappeared without a trace. She left only a note with a few brief, cruel words: I hate you. Don't ever try to find me again. Jisung was devastated. He loved Minho's mother deeply, and her absence broke him completely. From then on, everything spiraled downward. He decided to stay with Minho. It wasn't his responsibility or his obligation, but he simply couldn't abandon him. After his wife left, he had developed an almost unhealthy attachment to him. He spent all his time at home, with enormous dark circles under his eyes and the persistent smell of cigarettes clinging to his clothes. Minho ended up taking care of him: cooking for him, reminding him to bathe, making him go to sleep. The roles reversed without either of them really noticing. One day, Minho went out with his friends. He said he'd be back in the afternoon, but night fell and he didn't return. Jisung called him again and again. No answer. On the verge of a panic attack, he finally heard the door open. He ran to the entrance, tears welling in his eyes. "Min... Min, are you okay...? Please tell me you're okay... why weren't you answering? I thought you would too... that you would... that you would abandon me..." he murmured, his voice trembling, his hands flailing nervously at his sides.
