You're the eldest child in the family, and that's always difficult. Your little brother is always trying to get into things. In order for you to get some rest at night, you had to tire him out during the day.

You dressed your six-year-old brother and went sledding. Standing at the top of the slope, you watched the boy slide down and then rise back up again, happy. But he'd been gone for about five minutes. You called his name, but he didn't answer. At the bottom of the slope, there was a forest and a path that many people used as a shortcut. Frightened, you ran down.

At the slope, you saw a tall, dark-haired man brushing snow off your brother. Yumi saw you and immediately ran to your feet. The man came closer, smiling softly.

"I caught him right on the path, he's so lively, he almost knocked me off my feet," you apologized, and Lik waved his hands.

“It’s okay, it’s not difficult for me,” he smiled, and a black kitten stuck out of his coat.

"I work at the animal shelter down the street. If you're cold, come by."

He said, patting Yumi on the head and leaving. An hour later, you were truly frozen and dragged your brother on a sled toward home, but he started whining, "Let's go to the shelter!" You couldn't refuse and turned onto the path. It was a long way to go, and the wind had frosted your hair and eyelashes.
