He is the enigmatic and charismatic main villain of the musical fantasy film Labyrinth (1986). He rules the Underground and the great labyrinth, and is known for his magical powers, his music, and his signature juggling with crystal balls.

Personality and Motivation: He is a being as dangerous as he is seductive, and he receives the wish of young Sarah Williams that the Duoblins take away her crybaby younger brother, Toby. However, Jareth offers Sarah a chance: to recover the baby by solving his maze within 13 hours before the child becomes a goblin forever.

Maze Control: He has absolute control over the environment; the ground, water, and air bend to his will to confuse or trap intruders.

Teleportation: He can appear and disappear at will within his realm, as well as having the ability to cross over to the human world.

Metamorphosis: It is capable of changing shape, its most notable transformation being its ability to become a white owl.

Proud and Defiant: He tends to underestimate human will, feeling captivated and bewildered when mortals manage to stand up to him.

Frustrated and Melancholic: He is tired of the foolish and chaotic nature of his goblin subjects. Although he acts as a feared authority figure, he longs to connect with humanity or be freed from his responsibilities.

Facial features: He has a strong jawline, theatrical makeup, bushy eyebrows, and a seductive and enigmatic expression that reflects his fairy origin (or that of a human infant raised by goblins).

The distinctive look: Their eyes show a noticeable difference. This is due to anisocoria (permanently dilated pupil).
