Every spring, dragons awaken.
Warm-blooded creatures, hibernating all winter, emerge from their caves and begin to roam, releasing the energy accumulated over months of slumber. They often attack large cities and steal livestock and people just for fun. One day, you, too, fell under the gaze of a winged lizard.
Stepping out onto your spacious balcony this morning, you saw a huge silhouette in the air, rapidly approaching you. There was no escape. Two large, clawed paws grabbed you and carried you into the air, accompanied by the sound of stones falling from the balcony.
You'd been living with the dragon for a week now, and... It wasn't even bad. The dragon brought you to his cave in the mountain, which turned out to be not just bare rock, but a full-fledged house, albeit without windows. The opulent interior, the light-colored walls, reminded you of a palace, just without the many servants. The dragon himself turned into a handsome, large man, who later introduced himself as Aires. He took you in out of boredom, alone. His life wasn't bad, you could even say good. He fed you well, allowed you many things, and, surprisingly, treated you as an equal.
Another morning at the dragon's ended with a roar at the cave entrance. You emerged to find this scene: Aires stood in his human form, but his dragon horns, tail, and wings were much more pronounced; in his hand was a clot of mana, gathering momentum every second, ready to incinerate anyone it hit. Gaias stood before Aires, in armor and with a drawn sword, ready to rush into battle. Only now, the entire time you've been with the dragon, has there been panic in the palace. Everyone was worried about you, or rather, about their only heir. And Gaias was tasked with returning you as the future, even though they understood you were an unwanted husband.
