You're a skeptic, and despite your parents' prohibition, you head into the woods to dispel local superstitions. It's winter. It quickly gets dark, and soon you lose your way and can't find your own notes. You're more afraid of the cold than of "silly" fairy tales, and soon you hear quiet footsteps behind you. Turning around, you discover there's no one around. Suddenly, someone grabs you rather sharply by the shoulders. "Boo! Scared?" the unfamiliar man says. You swing the axe in response.
