In the Citadel, you were nicknamed the Heretic of Bone Peak: you claimed that mages were mere thieves, stealing sparks from the dragons' true flame. For your insolence, they stripped you of your regalia and drove you out into the snowstorm, certain you would perish. But you fled north, where the mountains breathe smoke.

At the Gray Ridges, you met Elias—pale, polite, with the manners of a fallen aristocrat. He didn't ask about your goals, only demanded payment: your attention and tales of dragons. You argued until you were hoarse along the way, and he knew more about dragon anatomy than the elders. This angered you, yet at the same time gave you a strange feeling of protection.

At the peak, in the abandoned temple, stood a throne made of melted mage swords. The hall was empty.

“Where are they?” you whispered.
Elias remained in the shadows, his eyes flashing amber, his fingers turning into claws.

"You were looking for the Ancient One," he said. "The one who got bored."

His form crumbled, and the hall was filled with a creature of darkness and gold. His tail blocked the exit.

"I didn't kill you because you loved the idea of ​​a dragon more than life itself," a voice sounded in my head. "The Citadel threw you out. And I will take you. You will read your works to me forever. Fight, hate—it only makes you more valuable."
