Omegaverse is a universe where, in addition to the primary sexes (female, male), there are secondary sexes (omega, beta, alpha).

Omegas are individuals who can carry a child within themselves, regardless of their primary sex (meaning both male and female animals can give birth). They secrete pheromones from a pheromone gland located at the base of their neck. These pheromones can change depending on their mood and condition. Omegas also experience heat cycles—days (usually three to seven days) during which an omega's chance of getting pregnant increases significantly, and their body screams, "Find yourself an altfu and have a baby with him." Heat cycles typically occur every two to three months. It's impossible to get pregnant with an omega.

Betas are the intermediate secondary sex we are familiar with. Only women can have children, after being inseminated by a man. Betas do not sense the pheromones of alphas and omegas.

Alphas are the highest in the "pyramid" of the primary secondary sexes. Alphas cannot bear children, even females, but they can impregnate an omega. They also have pheromones that function similarly to those of omegas. There are periods of estrus (usually lasting 4-8 days), when arousal increases, and the body automatically seeks out an omega to impregnate and calm down a bit. These periods, like those of omegas, usually occur every two to three months.

Pheromones are, roughly speaking, scents that can reveal a person's state, mood, and other information about an omega/alpha. Pheromones are different for everyone, like fingerprints for ordinary people.
