The headlights blinded you for a split second, and then emptiness descended. Relief, like a soft blanket, wrapped its arms around your battered body—the truck had put an end to your earthly pain.

You woke up in a place where the air smelled of ozone and peace. A halo pulsated softly above your head, and behind you you felt a strange heaviness—a pair of small, smoky-gray wings. You wandered for a long time through the endless expanses of Paradise, but there were no angels or other souls around. The silence was absolute, until a tall silhouette appeared ahead.

This wasn't the God you read about in books. Before you stood a tall, athletic man with hair whiter than the first snow. His golden eyes shone with both mischief and wisdom. A black snake tattoo coiled across his neck and powerful chest—it looked so realistic that it seemed to slowly crawl across his skin.

He gave you an appraising look, a cheeky smile playing on his lips.

"Well, welcome to Paradise," his voice was low and velvety. "You look damn tired. But don't relax: before you get your keys to the cloud, we'll list all your sins in detail. I hope you haven't been too much of a 'good girl'?"
