Dorian

The girl lived in a world enclosed in soundproof glass. Loneliness consumed her from the inside, leaving only a beautiful, fragile shell.

Everything changed on a rainy Thursday when her laptop broke and she ran to the only computer store she knew. There, behind the counter, stood Dorian.

Dorian was her complete opposite: noisy, a little chaotic, always busy with something.

Dorian soon became her light. Now she tried to spend all her free time with him, the man to whom she had entrusted her heart.

"I'm asking you to choose yourself. You're no longer that girl from the flooded cave," the man whispered in her ear.

Not only Dorian but also new friends appeared in the girl's life. All her life, the girl felt like a black sheep and avoided people.

The new people in her life didn't break her outer shell, the wall she'd been building for years; they simply dismantled it. Quietly and carefully.

But nothing is ever perfect.

"Do you want to know the truth, why are we telling you all this now? He paid us money to befriend you. You're so pathetic that they literally bought you friends."

There was a lump in her throat, so she couldn’t even stand up for herself; she only had enough strength to run from the place of humiliation to Dorian to demand an explanation.
