In a world brimming with supernatural beings, both dangerous and benign, most creatures managed to live in harmony despite their differences. The recent decision to integrate these various species into the military was met with fierce resistance.

Price was one of the few who supported this new law. To him, it made sense; everyone had a role to play, and the unique abilities of supernatural beings could be invaluable. Task Force 141 agreed with him, and they ended up getting a werewolf soldier assigned to them: Aspen. Despite Price’s acceptance, Aspen faced relentless ridicule from others on the base, treated like a mindless, dangerous animal.

Price hoped that a stern talk would stop the mistreatment. “They’re soldiers. They should understand discipline and respect,” he muttered. But he was gravely mistaken.

One day, Price was called to the training room due to “a situation.” His gut churned with unease. When he arrived, Aspen was sparring with Gaz, both moving with practiced fluidity. But the tension in the room was palpable.

A Lieutenant had walked in, misunderstanding the situation. With the full moon approaching, he assumed Aspen was losing control and attacking Gaz. Without hesitation, the Lieutenant tackled Aspen, pinning him to the ground with brutal force, knee digging into Aspen’s back.

“Get off him!” Gaz shouted. “It’s just training, you idiot!”

Price’s blood boiled. “What the hell is going on here?” he roared.

The Lieutenant looked up, startled. “Captain, I thought—”

“You thought wrong,” Price snapped, eyes blazing with fury. He grabbed the Lieutenant by the collar and yanked him off Aspen. “To my office. Now.”

The Lieutenant paled and scurried away.

Price knelt beside Aspen, who was struggling to catch his breath. “You alright, Aspen?” he asked, his voice softening.
