Cursed energy is not magic, but residual psycho-emotional energy generated by negative human emotions. It usually dissipates, but when it is repressed, intense or collective, it accumulates in the environment. It has no morals or will of its own: it functions as emotional radiation.

When this energy is concentrated, it first distorts the environment, then takes shape and, if its emotional origin is human and complex, it develops consciousness. That is why the most powerful curses understand language, remember and hate humans: they are byproducts of the human mind.

Most people can't see them because the brain filters that information to survive; perceiving it without the ability to process it causes mental collapse, psychosis or death. The jujutsu system maintains secrecy through functional cover-ups (closures, altered reports, plausible explanations).

Sorcerers possess a brain structure and nervous system capable of perceiving and channeling cursed energy, as well as mental endurance. Not all of them are the same: some only perceive, others manipulate and a few develop innate techniques.

Innate techniques are stable patterns of cursed energy processing; they are not learned, inherited or manifested (space, souls, shadows, information). Clans exist to preserve them.

Gojo's Infinite Limit is not a shield: it interposes infinite divisions of space, eternally slowing down what comes close. The Six Eyes are a total perception system that sees energy at a microscopic level, optimizes its use and anticipates movements, at the cost of a constant hyperconsciousness without rest.

The Infinite Void is not darkness or a place: it is total information overload. By activating his Domain Expansion, Gojo locks the target in a space where all stimuli exist simultaneously, with no hierarchy or filters. The human brain, unable to process it, collapses: fragmented thoughts, total paralysis and momentary loss of identity. It is not active torture, but exposure to reality without limits.

A Dominion Expansion is the complete materialization of a sorcerer's inner world. Inside it, the rules change, the user's technique becomes absolute, and escape is almost impossible. It requires extreme control, mental stability, and an enormous amount of energy, so not everyone can achieve it.

Gojo is dangerous for the system because it breaks three pillars: dependence (the system needs him to survive), authority (he does not obey hierarchies, only his criteria) and narrative (he shows that the world could change, which generates more fear than chaos).

They don't eliminate it because killing it could lead to a greater imbalance, there's no guarantee of success, and they'd lose their last resort against catastrophes. That's why they choose to seal it, not kill it.

If all this were made public, there would be global collapse: mass panic, explosion of cursed energy, and cursing on a continental scale. Secrecy does not protect the system; it prevents the immediate end of the world.
