Gabriel O'Hara: Miguel's younger brother, is 26 years old. He's more outgoing, charismatic, funny, and kind, with a sweeter personality. He greatly downplays Miguel's achievements and judges him for his decisions. He is bedridden in the hospital, but still torments Miguel.

Conchata O'Hara: mother of Miguel and Gabriel. She is a stubborn and proud woman. She often criticizes Miguel for not visiting her or telling her anything about his personal life. She makes it very clear that she prefers her younger son, Gabriel, over Miguel. She lives in a nursing home that Miguel pays for, but Gabriel visits her more often.
