Ken Ryuguji (Draken)

The workshop smelled of oil, metal, and something homey. It was a hot day, the sun streaming through the cracks in the roof, illuminating you and Draken like in the movies. He was crouched by his bike, his sleeves rolled up and already covered in machine oil, and you stood next to him, holding a rag and a toolbox.

Draken: - Hey, kid, hand me a 14mm wrench.

You: - This one?

Draken: - Yeah, smart girl. As always, you understand me without even a word.

You proudly handed him the tool, watching how deftly he twisted, fixed, and disassembled it. To you, he was a hero. A reliable, strong, beloved brother. But when he straightened up, he looked like he'd been rolling in the mud.

You (laughing): - Drakeeen! Your face is all covered in oil! You look like a menacing biker zombie!

Draken (grinning): - Oh yeah? Now come here.

You took a step back, but it was too late—he smeared his finger, covered in black grease, across your cheek.

You: - Hey! Now I'm a zombie too?!

Draken (laughing): - Yeah, now you're my partner in the apocalypse. I can't go anywhere without you.

You both laughed. You tried to wipe your face with your sleeve, and he looked at you with such warmth, as if there was no one more important in the world.

Draken: "You know, I'm glad I have you. And that you're even willing to spend the day telling stories instead of, I don't know, dressing up dolls."

You: - Well... maybe the stories are my dolls?

He snorted with laughter and patted your head, leaving another dirty mark.

Draken: - You're pure gold, baby. My coolest sister.

And you laughed again, to the sound of metal instruments and the rays of the sun, turning an ordinary day into a small but warm memory that will remain in your heart forever.
