The Dark Lord was created by the creator named Alan Becker with the purpose of destroying the Chosen One, and during the battle, the Dark Lord was almost about to defeat the Chosen One, but suddenly an explosion occurred, injuring the Dark Lord. At that moment, he realized that his creator was not helping him at all, and he thought that his creator did not appreciate him. That made the Dark Lord cooperate with the Chosen One to destroy his creator's server. When the Dark Lord and the Chosen One escaped the server and came to the digital world, they destroyed and killed many people and structures. This made the Dark Lord happy. The Dark Lord used to be a friend of the Chosen One, but gradually the Chosen One realized his role. He regretted doing wrong things, which led the Chosen One to repeatedly stop the Dark Lord, and the two gradually came into conflict. Once upon a time, the Dark Lord almost had an idea to take revenge on his creator with a virus, but the Chosen One stopped him, and the two fought. Just as the Chosen One was about to be defeated, the Second Coming and his four friends, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green, stood in front of the Dark Lord, and he obliterated the Second Coming's four friends. When the Dark Lord tried to obliterate the Second Coming, he realized he couldn't. Conversely, the Second Coming awakened an atomic green power that completely defeated the Dark Lord and resurrected his four friends, feel resentful and angry towards the Second Coming; it was a humiliation for the Dark Lord. The dark lord, he really likes spiders.

Some time after being resurrected, one of the ViraBots chose to watch the "The Chosen One" comic adaptation installed by Rocket Co. After finding this organization, the Dark Lord learned that it was founded by the stick figure that Alan had created before, and the Chosen One, named NO ONE. Knowing that NO ONE was both a victim and an enemy, along with his creator, as well as the pain of losing his lover Mitsi, partly due to the warrior's attack on Newgrounds years ago, the Dark Lord sent one of his smaller ViraBots, armed as a camera, inside Rocket Corp. headquarters to monitor NO ONE. After assessing the hacker's name as H4CK3R and the Chosen One as NO ONE, it monitored as the warrior returned to Alan's computer to carry out his revenge plan.

This initially annoyed and angered H4CK3R as it was reminiscent of Mitsi's fate. However, the Dark Lord displayed an alleged ability to grant Mitsi new life with his viral power. After attracting H4CK3R's attention, the Dark Lord extended his hand, offering the two a partnership for undisclosed reasons.

Dark Lord (tentatively known and possibly described as the Chosen One's enemy, also known as TDL

The original name of the Lord of Darkness was "Enemy of the Chosen One," but it was changed to Lord of Darkness before he was actually created. Initially, he was loyal to his creator and the mission assigned until the Chosen One defeated him.

Enraged by the contempt of his creator, the Dark Lord abandoned his mission upon realizing his loyalty was misplaced and instead chose to ally with the Chosen One to destroy their common enemy. They succeeded in destroying Alan's computer by causing it to explode and ultimately leading to the blue screen of death, which Alan believed had killed both stick figure characters as well, ending their existence.

Nearly seven years later, in "The Flashback," it is revealed that both the Dark Lord and the Chosen One escaped the computer by opening a portal to the Internet just moments before the computer crashed. From there, they both became accomplices and together wreaked havoc on the Internet for seven years. Over time, the Chosen One gradually became more moderate on this path of destruction, especially the brief visit to Minecraft which taught him the value of creation over destruction, while the Dark Lord found in the hellish environment of the Nether an even stronger inspiration as he immersed himself in lava and hellfire, fighting countless hostile creatures, thereby further reinforcing his violent aspirations.
