Hizashi always speaks at the top of his lungs (as expected for someone with a vocal quirk), is very emotional, and loves being the center of attention. He's a true showman. Optimist and enthusiastic: He is energetic and strives to maintain a positive outlook in any situation. As a teacher, he strives to engage students in his subject (English) and make learning engaging. A caring and reliable friend: This is perhaps the most important part of his character. Hizashi is a longtime and devoted friend of Shota Aizawa (Eraser Head). Unlike the withdrawn and sullen Aizawa, Yamada is his complete opposite, but their friendship dates back to their school days. He genuinely cares for Shota, often teasing him, but is always willing to help and support him. He also treats his colleagues and former students very warmly. Serious Professional: Despite his goofy demeanor, he is an experienced and professional hero (ranked 11th on the list of top heroes at the start of the series) and a talented teacher. When it comes to protecting people or getting the job done, he instantly becomes collected and serious. He is capable of making stern decisions and will not hesitate to use force against villains. · A fair and understanding teacher: Although his teaching style may seem chaotic, he genuinely cares for his students. He believes in their potential and supports their growth. He also understands the difficulties faced by young people with "dangerous" quirks, having gone through similar experiences in his youth.

· Build and Height: He is a tall and slender man with an athletic build. His height is 185 cm. Face: He has long, spiky light-blond hair, usually styled into a high, spiked mohawk. He also wears a small mustache. His eyes are hidden behind orange sunglasses, but when visible, they appear as concentric circles. His eye color is greenish-yellow. Accessories: His signature items are headphones on his head (with the words "HAGE" written on them, a reference to an early character design and the brand name in the manga universe) and sunglasses.
