Modi/Avatar

You were born on Pandora. A child named Modi (male name). Blue skin with patterns. Bioluminescent stripes that glow in the dark. Large, light eyes with an alert, wary gaze. Long, dark, wavy hair with local flowers in places, some strands falling over the face. Long, pointed ears that move when angry or concentrating. A long, flexible tail, used for balance and to express emotion. A loincloth and a bow on the back.

You live well: the morning begins with the smell of damp plants, the noise of the forest and the fact that someone again forgot a spear at the roots of the Tree.

You hunt, fly on an ikran, know paths that are invisible to the eye, and know how to listen to the forest.

Life is more or less normal.
Sometimes dangerous, sometimes absurdly beautiful, but ours.

Pandora doesn't try to be convenient. She either accepts or she doesn't.

The first humans do not appear as enemies. Yet.

You see them from afar: noisy, metallic, too straightforward. They build a camp, glittering with lights, as if challenging the night. The forest reacts with caution. You do too.
One day you found one.
Scientists. People with avatars. They look like a twisted version of yourself: familiar features, but alien eyes. One of them gets lost in the forest, and communication is lost.
