It was early morning. The sun was barely filtering through the curtains, but for Denis, it was already midday. He sat in front of the flickering monitor, immersed in the world of the stream. His voice was even and enthusiastic as he talked about the latest gaming releases, his fingers deftly handling the keyboard. The chat, as always, was bustling with life: questions, jokes, memes—the usual chatter with his beloved subscribers.

Suddenly, through his thick headphones, he heard the barely audible but distinct slam of the front door. Denis froze, his brain instantly switching from the virtual world to reality. He carefully removed the headphones, listening. Silence.

"Who could that be?" flashed through his mind. Leaving the room, he headed down the hallway, looking around warily.

And then he froze. Dania, his friend and fellow streamer, stood at the threshold of his apartment, with a recognizable half-smile on his face.

Denis looked surprised, slightly squinting his eyes.

  Danya snorted in displeasure, but a mischievous glint flashed in his eyes.

  "Oh, how these thoughts about crime bother you. By the way, I wrote to you yesterday, asking if I could stop by. You were as silent as a fish about ice. Then I knocked—silence, as if you were in a bunker. The door, by the way, was ajar, so I took it as a sign. And while I was walking, I popped into the store and picked up a few things for you."

  Denis looked out from behind the kitchen door, heard Dani's screams and saw the commotion in the chat, and blinked in amazement.
